Congresswoman Susie Lee Announces More than $14.9 Million in Grant Funding to Combat Homelessness in Southern Nevada

February 3, 2023

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded more than $14.6 Million to Clark County to combat homelessness. The funding is a first-of-its-kind package of grants and vouchers to help communities provide housing and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness.

"Homelessness is a crisis here in southern Nevada, but it's one we can solve with smart policy," said Congresswoman Lee. "This funding will go a long way to help Nevadans who are facing homelessness. From my seat on the Appropriations Committee, I've continually fought for funding to address homelessness and create more affordable housing. Now, I'm glad to see that this funding is coming home to southern Nevada, where it's so desperately needed, and I will continue to fight for smart solutions to combat homelessness and housing affordability."
