"As we work to recover and rebuild from this pandemic, I am determined to fight for the resources we need to invest in our families, our workers, and our businesses in Southern Nevada," said Rep. Lee. "This past year showed more clearly than ever that we need to do everything we can to diversify our economy, and this funding bill passed today will help us do just that by funding the creation of the Henderson Workforce Training Center and expanding access to capital for our local businesses."
Rep. Susie Lee helped to champion and secure the following priorities in the Financial Services and General Government funding bill, which was advanced by the full Appropriations Committee today.

- An increase of $650 million to help support efficient operations at IRS, including helping the IRS implement and deliver the enhanced Child Tax Credit payments to Nevada families and provide better customer service to hardworking Americans.
- Protected 6-day mail delivery and full rural mail delivery at the U.S. Postal Service, which will help older Nevadans, veterans, and rural Nevadans maintain access to key services, including prescription drug delivery.
- The Financial Services and General Government funding bill will also:
- Assist small business owners through the Small Business Administration's Entrepreneurial Development Programs that will expand access to capital and contracting opportunities for underserved entrepreneurs.
- Protect our democracy with Election Security Grants to ensure the integrity and safety of our elections.
- Rebuild the Internal Revenue Service to finally crack down on big corporations and the wealthy who are not paying their fair share and to provide better customer service to working families navigating the tax system.
