Help with Taxes

No one likes tax season. But that's why we're here to try to make it a little bit easier and less stressful.

While my team and I cannot provide tax filing assistance or tax advice, I do want to make sure you know about a handful of items I've worked on to help you file and save money on your taxes.

Direct File: Free Help Filing Your Taxes

Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act that  helped pass, the IRS just rolled out a new tool that provides eligible Nevadans a free and secure option to file taxes online and directly with the IRS.

The Direct File portal has been in testing mode for several weeks, and thousands of taxpayers have already successfully used the system and passed along positive reviews.

For Nevadans who need to file a state tax return, the Direct File portal will also connect taxpayers with the state online filing tool to prepare and file a state tax return for 2023.

Save Money with Clean Energy Tax Credits

And while you're at it, check out some of these clean energy and home improvement tax credits that are available for you to take advantage of this filing season.

They include:

That means if you choose to buy something like an electric vehicle, solar panels, or home insulation, you could end up with more money in your pocket.
