Congressional App Challenge
The Congressional App Challenge is a nationwide academic competition designed to inspire and promote innovation in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and the Arts. Established by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2013, this competition is open to all middle and high school students residing in participating Congressional districts across the country.
We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to middle and high school students in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District. Participants will be challenged to develop or design an app on a platform of their choice, with a focus on innovation and problem-solving.
The Congressional App Challenge not only inspires creativity and innovation among young students, but also fosters their interest in STEM fields. By participating in the challenge, students will develop skills in coding, design, and problem-solving, all of which are highly valuable in today's workforce.
"The Congressional App Challenge was a true test of my potential and abilities. It taught me to be creative, adaptable, resourceful, and to learn from my mistakes, and meeting like-minded people at #HouseofCode who share the same passion was an incredible experience. Standing next to Congresswoman Susie Lee on Capitol Hill representing NV-03 was one of my proudest moments. I hope I can inspire other constituents to seek the same sense of pride in representing their community."
