The legislation, which would prevent explosive nuclear tests in Nevada or anywhere else in the country without Congressional authorization, comes amid President Trump’s recently announced intention to test weapons for the first time in over three decades.

McConnell, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, ruled that the Trump administration must use over $5 billion in Congressionally appropriated emergency funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to ensure SNAP recipients continue receiving benefits during the Republican-led government shutdown.
