KSNV: Congresswoman Susie Lee meets with Las Vegans as protester death toll climbs in Iran
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Congresswoman Susie Lee held a town hall with the Las Vegas Iranian community on Saturday morning.
Attendees shared their concerns regarding the ongoing killing of protesters in their homeland.
They called on the United States to take action before the Islamic Republic adds to the thousands they have already killed who are protesting for basic human rights in Iran.
Some community members shared that sanctions are not enough to put pressure on the Islamic Republic.
So they asked for military intervention from the U.S. to overthrow the regime. Las Vegans shared their support for exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to be the new leader.
On Friday, they said time is of the essence as the Internet blackout by the regime continues, and the death toll increases.
Congresswoman Susie Lee spoke exclusively with News 3 following the town hall. She says she's heard their pleas for immediate action.
