LAS VEGAS – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) held an economic development summit at Windmill Library to provide an update on her work to bring federal investments to southern Nevada, support southern Nevada’s small businesses, and spur economic development. The summit also included panels on collaboration between federal, state, and local partners for the business community and combatting organized retail crime.

Lee was joined by panelists Dijana Mitrovic from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration Nevada District Director Saul Ramos, Nevada Department of Business and Industry Deputy Director Marcel Schaerer, Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance’s SVP Chief Strategy Officer Amber Stidham, Girma Zaid, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Deputy Chief Nick Farese.

“Since coming to Congress, I’ve helped pass the single largest investment in America’s infrastructure, historic investments in domestic manufacturing, science, and technology, and legislation to save small businesses,” said Congresswoman Susie Lee. “It’s so important to fight for these investments in our communities — to create jobs, support our local businesses, and bolster workforce development and training programs. That’s how we build a brighter future for southern Nevada.”
