Congresswoman Lee Announces $8 Million for Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure in Nevada
WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that more than $8 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding has been awarded to the Nevada Department of Transportation to invest in building a network of electric vehicle (EV) chargers across Nevada.
“I voted to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to bring once-in-a-generation infrastructure investment to southern Nevada, and I’m proud to announce that these resources are on their way,” said Congresswoman Susie Lee. “This EV infrastructure funding is exactly what southern Nevada needs as a national leader in building the clean economy of the future.”
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) awarded this $8,085,017 grant to Nevada through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program, which helps states quickly deploy electric vehicle charging stations. This funding will not only invest in publicly available charging stations in Nevada, but also support an interconnected network for data-sharing and infrastructure reliability across the country.

As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Women’s Caucus and Vice Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, Congresswoman Lee has been named one of the top ten most bipartisan Members in the U.S. House and the most bipartisan Member from Nevada.
