Congresswoman Lee Helps Secure $44 Million for Nevada Water Infrastructure Projects

February 20, 2024

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that more than $44 million has been made available for water infrastructure projects across Nevada. This investment was made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that Congresswoman Lee helped negotiate and pass in 2021.

“I helped negotiate and pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to ensure that Nevada gets the investments it desperately needs to tackle the worst drought in 12 centuries. Today, I’m proud to announce that the latest wave of this funding is on the way,” said Colorado River Caucus Vice Chair Susie Lee. “No one knows better than a Nevadan just how important our water resources are – this investment will help ensure that those resources, and the communities that depend on them, are well-supported and prepared for the future.”

Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has allotted $12,331,000 through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) program, and $31,752,000 through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program, to Nevada in fiscal year 2024 for water infrastructure investments and to address emerging contaminants, such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
