Congresswoman Lee Holds Business Roundtable on Impact of Tariffs on Local Community
Small Business Owners, Entrepreneurs, and Chambers of Commerce Shared Insights on Challenges

LAS VEGAS – At MidFirst Bank, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) held a tariff roundtable with small business owners, entrepreneurs, and local Chambers of Commerce. The new Trump tariffs could cost the average American family an extra $3,800 a year.
“Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and yet, they stand to be hurt the hardest by Trump’s tariffs. Many of these entrepreneurs and business owners fear that they may not be able to keep their doors open. And we know these tariffs will jack up everyday costs for working families. It’s a lose-lose for consumers and businesses,” said Congresswoman Susie Lee. “Targeted tariffs are one thing, but these blanket tariffs with no clear strategy have decimated retirement savings and may force small businesses to close down.”
Congresswoman Lee was joined by Nevada Market Executive and MidFirst Bank Senior Vice President Michael Pizzi; MidFirst Bank Commercial Banking and Senior Vice President Bernard Bermudez; Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Manager of Political Affairs Taylor Avery; Henderson Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Scott Muelrath; Asian Chamber of Commerce Executive Board member Tim Wong; Owner of Total Promotions Company, LLC Brandon Mills; Founder and CEO of Illumino Lashes, LLC Soo-Jin Yang; Mothership Coffee Owner and CEO Juanny Romero; and Founder and CEO of TFSource Curt Fignar.
