Congresswoman Lee Responds to Texas Judge’s Ruling Blocking Access to Abortion Pills Nationwide

LAS VEGAS – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement in response to the Texas Judge's ruling revoking the FDA's 20-year approval of mifepristone, which effectively blocks the sale of this medication in all 50 states:

"One judge in Texas does not know better than a woman, her doctor, and a team of FDA scientists that approved this safe and effective medication over 20 years ago. This ruling is dangerous and catapults us backwards. In 1990, Nevadans came together and voted by a 2-to-1 margin to protect a woman's right to choose, but this ruling and the extreme efforts by Washington Republicans to restrict and ban abortion nationwide stand in violation of what Nevadans want. I will continue to do everything in my power to block these extreme efforts, stop this ruling, and reinstate Roe as the law of the land."
