Congresswoman Lee Statement on House Passage of Bipartisan Tax Package

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement on her vote to pass bipartisan tax legislation. The legislation passed by a vote of 357-70 on the House floor:

“The bipartisan tax package will put more money in the pockets of hardworking southern Nevada families, lower costs for small businesses, and make significant progress to expand the Child Tax Credit and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit.

“The expanded Child Tax Credit will help Nevada families afford child care and child-related expenses. It's estimated that 38,000 children in Nevada’s Third Congressional District will benefit from the expanded Child Tax Credit in its first year alone.

“Nevadans sent me to Congress to break through gridlock and get results. I look forward to this bipartisan package passing the Senate and getting signed into law to cut taxes for the middle-class, while I continue the push to further expand the Child Tax Credit.”
