Congresswoman Lee Statement on Second Anniversary of October 7th

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement on the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attacks:

"Two years ago, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, murdering thousands of innocent civilians and taking hundreds of hostages. This barbaric attack was the single deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

"Today, Hamas still holds 48 hostages in barbaric conditions in Gaza. My heart breaks for their families, who have waited for 731 days for their loved ones to come home.

"Over the course of this conflict, Palestinians have also suffered unimaginable horrors.

"While we need to ensure that more humanitarian aid reaches innocent civilians in Gaza, it is long past time to return the hostages and end this war."
