Congresswoman Lee Statement on Two-Years Since Fall of Roe v. Wade

June 24, 2024

LAS VEGAS – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) released the following statement to mark the two-year anniversary of the Dobbs decision, which overturned nearly 50 years of precedent settled by Roe v. Wade, taking away a woman’s right to choose for millions of women in states across the country:

“With the fall of Roe v. Wade two years ago, millions of women in states across America were stripped of the freedom to make choices about their own bodies. If anti-choice extremists in Congress get their way and pass a national abortion ban, millions more women, including here in Nevada, will lose that same freedom.

“The extreme far-right won't rest until they ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions for rape or incest, as well as IVF and birth control because they are more concerned about controlling women’s bodies than protecting life.

“I’m fighting to stop these extremists and protect access to care for all women.”
