LAS VEGAS – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) visited Clark High School and Roundy Elementary School to welcome back students, families, and educators for the new school year. She also toured the Site Rooms operated by local non-profit Communities in Schools (CIS) Nevada at each school campus.
Lee was joined by school administrators and staff, CIS Site Coordinators, and students on each of her visits. Prior to her time in Congress, Congresswoman Lee served as President of CIS Nevada where she worked to reduce school dropout rates and provide students in need with resources such as food, clothes, and school supplies.

Congresswoman Lee is a staunch fighter for our students and public schools. In Washington, she is working to pass bipartisan bills such as the Full-Service Communities in Schools Act, which would provide after-school wraparound services for students and families; the Keep Our PACT Act, which would fully fund Title I schools and IDEA programs; and the PATHS to Tutors Act, which would support targeted tutoring programs and help teacher-candidates become full-time teachers.
