Photo Release: Congresswoman Lee Celebrates Lunar New Year with Local AAPI Communities

LAS VEGAS – Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) joined local elected officials, community leaders, and small business owners across three events this weekend in southern Nevada to celebrate the Lunar New Year and ring in the Year of the Dragon.

  • Congresswoman Lee attended the new UnCommons mixed-use community on Saturday for their first annual Lunar New Year celebration, where she presented a Congressional certificate to the AAPI Chamber of Commerce of Southern Nevada and UnCommons. Congresswoman Lee also honored Dr. Rozita Lee for her work on behalf of the broader AANHPI community in southern Nevada. She was joined by Assemblyman Duy Nguyen and Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones. Photos below:

  • On Sunday, Congresswoman Lee attended the Vietnamese “Tet” Lunar New Year Celebration at the YMCA Las Vegas, where she presented a Congressional certificate to President Kim Le with the Vietnamese American Association of Las Vegas for supporting Vietnamese American families and recently securing Las Vegas’ first-ever Vietnamese Community Resource Center. She was joined by Lt. Governor Anthony Stavros and Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom. Photos below:

  • Shortly after, Congresswoman Lee attended the Historic Chinatown Plaza for their Year of the Dragon festivities and presented a Congressional certificate to Asian Community Development Council President and Founder Vida Lin for her advocacy on a wide range of issues from food security to health care to immigration assistance, as well as the Lin Family for their work in supporting AAPI small businesses. She was joined by Assemblyman Duy Nguyen and Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones. Photos below:
