Rep. Lee Announces Nearly $40 Million Grant for Reimagine Boulder Highway Project

June 25, 2021

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the Department of Transportation (DOT) has granted nearly $40 million to the City of Henderson for its Reimagine Boulder Highway Project. The project will make one of Nevada's most dangerous highways safer for all of its users by reducing existing traffic lanes, installing lighting along the entire roadway and creating buffered bike lanes.

"This grant will help us transform Boulder Highway into a roadway that allows for transportation that is as safe as possible for our residents," said Rep Lee. "I am proud to announce this grant after directly appealing to Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on behalf of the City of Henderson. I will continue to work day in and day out to ensure that our state has the support it needs from the federal government."
