Rep. Lee Helps Secure Federal Grant for Nevada Workers Affected by COVID-19

September 30, 2020

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that Nevada has received a U.S. Department of Labor Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG), totaling $7,975,389, to address workforce impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This federal grant provides vital support for Nevada workers displaced by the coronavirus pandemic," said Rep. Lee. "With the highest unemployment rate in the country at 13.2 percent, Nevada's economy has been hit harder by this pandemic than anywhere else. This grant is one of many things that will help right the ship by providing support services and employment training for Nevadans looking to reenter the workforce. I'll continue to work day and night to ensure our state has the support it needs from our federal government."
