Rep. Lee Protects Dreamers, Votes to Pass Dream and Promise Act

Washington, DC—Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) voted to pass the Dream and Promise Act to give Dreamers and TPS recipients a more certain future.

Rep. Lee released the following statement after the legislation passed:

"There are 13,000 DACA and 6,300 TPS recipients who call Nevada and America home--and for most, it's the only home they've ever known. They should be able to fully contribute to the country they love without fear of detention or deportation. We should do everything in our power to protect Dreamers and TPS recipients, and guarantee a path for them to study, work, and live in the only country they've known for decades. I am proud to be an original cosponsor and vote to pass the Dream and Promise Act for the thousands of Nevadans and millions of Americans who call this country home."
