Rep. Susie Lee Announces $275,000 Grant for Cancer Research at Touro University of Nevada
WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Susie Lee announced a $275,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Cancer Institute for cancer biology research at Touro University of Nevada.
"I'm so glad to see these funds are on their way to support the incredible ongoing cancer research efforts at Touro University," said Rep. Susie Lee. "I am so proud to have an institution like Touro University in my district — an institution that not only invests in life-saving research, but also in educating and training the next generation of health care scientists to continue the fight to find a cure."
This $275,000 grant is part of an Academic Research Enhancement Awards (AREA) from the Department of Health and Human Services' National Cancer Institute. This grant will help to fund cancer research at Touro University, and a project specifically focused on transport of extracellular biomaterials.
