Rep. Susie Lee Appointed to the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs

January 17, 2019

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-NV) released the following statement after being appointed the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs:

"Hundreds of thousands of veterans call Nevada home, which is why I am so honored to have the opportunity to serve them on the Committee on Veterans' Affairs and use my voice to fight for them every day. As the daughter of an Army veteran, I know firsthand the importance of caring for our veterans when they return home. I also know that we must improve access to those key veterans services, which is why I will fight to have a fully funded and functional Veterans Administration and ensure every service member has access to critical programs like job training and education, mental health services, and health care. I look forward to working with Chairman Takano, Ranking Member Roe, and all the members of the Committee."
