Rep. Susie Lee Hosts Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony to Honor Southern Nevada Veterans

Henderson, NV— Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) hosted a Vietnam Veterans Pinning Ceremony to commemorate southern Nevada veterans' brave service and pay tribute to their contributions to our country during the Vietnam War. Twenty-two Vietnam veterans participated in the ceremony and received the esteemed Vietnam Veteran Commemorative Pin. As a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, Rep. Lee is fighting for Nevada's veterans by introducing and supporting important legislation, such as the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act, making sure veterans and their families get the benefits they have earned, and advocating for student veterans.
"It's our duty to support, thank, and honor every veteran who put their life on the line for our freedom. Unfortunately, Vietnam veterans did not receive the honor they deserved when they returned from service. This pinning ceremony is a chance to give our veterans the recognition they earned, but never received, for their service to our country during the Vietnam War," said Rep. Susie Lee. "I will continue to host these pinning ceremonies for our southern Nevada Vietnam veterans to give our community a chance to finally welcome them home."
