Rep. Susie Lee Recognized as One of the Top 10 Most Bipartisan Members of U.S. House of Representatives
Record of Working With Republican Colleagues to Deliver for Nevadans Earns Rep. Lee 10th Place Spot in Ranking of Most Bipartisan Members in the House of Representatives
WASHINGTON – This week, The Lugar Center and the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University released a new bipartisan index report that named U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) as the 10th most bipartisan member out of 435 members of the House of Representatives. The Bipartisan Index measures how often a member of Congress introduces bills that attract co-sponsors from the other party, and how often they in turn co-sponsor a bill introduced from across the aisle. The rankings found that Rep. Lee was the 10th most bipartisan member of the House of Representatives, and the most bipartisan member of the Nevada delegation in the House of Representatives.
"I ran for Congress to cut through partisan dysfunction and gridlock," said Rep Lee. "Since being elected, I've been proud to work with my Republican colleagues to find common-sense solutions to our most pressing issues. Whether it's expanding access to affordable health care, rebuilding our nation's infrastructure, preserving our precious water resources, or supporting our small businesses, I'll always fight to find common ground to deliver solutions for hardworking Nevada families. I'm so proud to be named in the top ten most bipartisan members of Congress and I look forward to continuing to work with my Republican colleagues in the months and years ahead."
"Rep. Susie Lee's top-ten ranking in the 2021 Bipartisan Index places her among the bipartisan elite in the House," said Dan Diller, policy director of the Lugar Center. "Our bill sponsorship and co-sponsorship data shows that she is prioritizing legislative accomplishment for her constituents over partisan posturing."
Rep. Lee is a member of the Problem Solvers Caucus, made up of equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans. Since being elected to Congress, Rep. Lee has consistently received the distinction of being named the most bipartisan member of the Nevada delegation in House of Representatives.
