Rep. Susie Lee Statement on $2.7 Billion of American Rescue Plan Relief for State of Nevada

May 10, 2021

LAS VEGAS – Today, Representative Susie Lee released the following statement after the Treasury Department announced the launch of the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds from the American Rescue Plan and determined the State of Nevada will receive over $2.7 billion:

"I was proud to work with my colleagues in Congress to ensure that Nevada was getting its fair share of direct aid to state and local governments because I knew that this aid would be crucial to our recovery," said Rep. Susie Lee. "This aid will boost our vaccination efforts, provide critical rental and food assistance to help Nevadans make ends meet, and of course, help our state avoid budget shortfalls, preventing layoffs of teachers and first responders. I'm glad to see Nevada is getting the aid it needs to get our economy back on track and I have no doubt that Governor Sisolak, Treasurer Conine, and the state legislature will put these funds to good use for Nevada families."

The Treasury Department released a fact sheet on how the funds can be used along with allocation levels for each state and the District of Columbia.
