Rep. Susie Lee Statement Commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) released the following statement commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month, which begins today, Sept. 15, and concludes on Oct. 15, 2020:

"Hispanic Heritage Month gives us the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the many contributions of our nation's Hispanic and Latino communities. These contributions span from business and government to our history and culture as a nation. Despite being an integral part of our country's fabric, Americans of Hispanic and Latino descent continue to face discrimination and barriers to true equality, many of which have been exacerbated by this pandemic. This Hispanic Heritage Month, let's celebrate what generations of Hispanic and Latino Americans have contributed to our country, but let's also remind ourselves that we must continue to fight for true equality for all."
