Las Vegas, Nev. – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) met with Boulder City Mayor Kiernan McManus and the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce via Zoom to provide an update on COVID-19's impact on southern Nevada, especially in smaller communities like Boulder City. They discussed resources available to Nevadans, and talked about what more needs to be done to ensure Nevada communities are getting the relief they need during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I'm so encouraged by the responses from every level of government in Nevada, including from Mayor McManus and Boulder City officials," said Rep. Lee. "This is exactly the type of leadership we need during an unprecedented crisis like this. But right now is crunch time. We need to work day and night to ensure our public health system, working families, and small businesses have the supplies, resources, and relief they need to make it through what is no doubt a tough time for every Nevadan.

"We are working on a fourth relief package in Congress to bring more resources and support to Nevada, and that includes billions more in direct assistance for our counties and towns like Boulder City," Rep. Lee continued. "We know that the effects of this pandemic, especially economically, are already hitting Nevada hard. But we've been tested in this state before, whether it was during the 2008 recession or October 1. What I know is that every time, we've been able to come together and come out the other side stronger than before, and that's exactly what we're doing now."
