Representative Lee Highlights $850,000 in Funding She Secured for Opportunity Village
LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, during Disability Pride Month, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) joined Opportunity Village to host a roundtable discussing federal funding Lee secured to help build Opportunity Village’s northwest campus. Opportunity Village, a non-profit organization that serves people in the Las Vegas community with intellectual disabilities, plans to open its northwest campus location in fall 2026 at 5080 W. Rome Blvd. The project will provide housing, direct employment, workforce development and day habilitation services to hundreds of Nevada residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Individuals with developmental disabilities and their families have thrived in our community because of the work of Opportunity Village for the last 72 years,” said Congresswoman Susie Lee. “This Northwest Campus project will continue that legacy by giving 125 residents a new place to call home. I am so proud to have secured $850,000 to move this important project forward.”
The new northwest campus will include approximately 90 residences – a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom homes. The campus is designed to serve more than 125 residents.
Rep. Lee was joined by Nicholas Aguilar, who will be moving into the new northwest campus, and his mother, Patty Aguilar. Opportunity Village’s Chief Program Officer, Chuck Neuwohner; Director of Program Services, Sarah Quinn; and Director of Development, Taylor Palmer, also participated in the discussion.
As southern Nevada’s only voice on the House Appropriations Committee, Congresswoman Lee focuses on bringing money back to Nevada and works to secure the funding and resources needed to keep first responders and southern Nevadans safe. Lee brought home $850,000 for Opportunity Village to build a new Northwest Campus. This new campus will significantly enhance accessibility to vital services for people with disabilities living in southern Nevada.
