WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Susie Lee announced more than $200 million in emergency funding for colleges, universities, and students in Nevada under the American Rescue Plan. Of this $200 million, more than $9 million will go to Nevada State College, which is in Nevada’s Third District, and more than $59 million will go to College of Southern Nevada, which has a campus in Henderson in Nevada’s Third District.

WASHINGTON — Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03), alongside Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45), and Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05), relaunched the College Affordability Caucus. The group spearheads policies that will drive down the sticker price of higher education.

The legislation would remove taxes on the first $10,200 of unemployment compensation from federal income taxes for tax year 2020.
