Washington, DC—Ahead of Mother's Day, Democratic Representatives Susie Lee (NV-03) and Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06) are joining with Republican Representatives Doug Collins (GA-09) and Jackie Walorski (IN-02) to give veterans--particularly mothers--more peace of mind by introducing the Newborn Care Improvement Act. This bipartisan bill will extend coverage of newborn health care for children of veterans. Currently, veterans are only eligible to receive 7 days of newborn care, after which they must find and sign up for health insurance for their newborn.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA), Chair of the House Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity, announced the introduction of the Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer William "Bill" Mulder (Ret.) Transition Improvement Act of 2019, a bipartisan bill to improve the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) for servicemembers returning to civilian life. The legislation is cosponsored by Representatives Jodey Arrington (R-TX), Gil Cisneros (D-CA), Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), Joe Cunningham (D-SC), and Susie Lee (D-NV).

WASHINGTON -- Today U.S. Representative Susie Lee (NV-03) and U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) introduced the Keep Our Promise to America's Children and Teachers (PACT) Act, which would put Congress on a fiscally-responsible path to meet its obligation to fully fund Title I and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) on a mandatory basis over the next 10 years.

Washington, DC – Today, Reps. Susie Lee (NV-03), Dina Titus (NV-01), and Steven Horsford (NV-04) helped introduce the bipartisan Colorado River Drought Contingency Plan Authorization Act, which will address the historic drought conditions along the Colorado River through voluntary water reductions and reservoir management strategies. The Colorado River is one of Nevada's main source for drinking water.
