Washington, D.C. – U.S. Reps. Susie Lee (D-Nev.-03) and Jim Banks (R-Ind.-03) introduced the bipartisan Student Veteran Protection Act on Friday. The bill would change how GI Bill overpayments are reimbursed by making schools, not student veterans, responsible for reimbursing the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for GI Bill overpayments.

Las Vegas, Nev.—U.S. Reps. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) and Sean Casten (Ill.-06) introduced the Pell Grant Sustainability Act. The bill would make sure that Federal resources for college students keep up with current costs by indexing Pell Grants to inflation.

Las Vegas, Nev. – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) hosted a roundtable meeting focusing on her priority of finding solutions to lower the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs. Southern Nevada organizations and advocates in attendance included the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the Nevada Alliance for Retired Americans, the Culinary Health Fund, Nevada Hospital Association (NHA), Battle Born Progress, and Protect Our Care. The discussion addressed the community impact of high health care costs and the solutions necessary to lower drug prices.

Boulder City, Nev. – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) joined workers in touring the Techren 2 Renewable Energy Solar Station in southern Nevada's Eldorado Valley. Eldorado Valley is home to four major solar plants and is key in solidifying southern Nevada's position as one of the nation's leaders in solar energy development and innovation.
