WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) signed on to a letter urging House leaders to include tax relief legislation for unemployed Nevadans in the American Rescue Plan. The legislation would remove taxes on the first $10,200 of unemployment compensation from federal income taxes for tax year 2020.

LAS VEGAS – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that NeighborWorks America, a congressionally chartered non-profit organization, has granted $450,000 in funding to local organization Nevada HAND, which provides affordable housing for Nevada seniors and working families. This grant funding will support efforts to develop and preserve affordable housing, revitalize and sustain neighborhoods, and create jobs.
WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) co-sponsored the Coronavirus Unemployment Benefits Tax Relief Act, introduced by Rep. Cindy Axne (Iowa-03), which would provide additional financial relief to Americans who have been unemployed during this unprecedented public health and economic crisis. Those affected would be able to temporarily exclude the first $10,200 of unemployment compensation from federal income taxes for tax year 2020.
