Washington, DC—Today, Representative Susie Lee (NV-03) voted to pass the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act, a bipartisan bill she helped introduce, which gives the Vietnam veterans exposed to toxic Agent Orange herbicide their long-awaited health benefits for them and their families. Thousands of Blue Water Navy veterans have suffered from the effects of Agent Orange, and they have been fighting to secure the benefits they earned over 40 years ago during the Vietnam War.

Washington, DC—Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) voted to pass H.R. 986, the Protecting Americans With Pre-Existing Conditions Act, which will prevent further attacks by the Trump Administration on the Affordable Care Act from taking away protections from patients with pre-existing conditions. This bill will reverse the administration's rule that allowed states to create their own health insurance rules as long as they can show the rules would increase access, regardless of affordability or quality of coverage.
Washington, DC—Ahead of Mother's Day, Democratic Representatives Susie Lee (NV-03) and Chrissy Houlahan (PA-06) are joining with Republican Representatives Doug Collins (GA-09) and Jackie Walorski (IN-02) to give veterans--particularly mothers--more peace of mind by introducing the Newborn Care Improvement Act. This bipartisan bill will extend coverage of newborn health care for children of veterans. Currently, veterans are only eligible to receive 7 days of newborn care, after which they must find and sign up for health insurance for their newborn.
