Las Vegas, NV - Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) delivered nutritious meals to a southern Nevada senior with Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada Meals on Wheels program. Their Meals on Wheels program is the largest home delivered meal service program in Nevada, providing daily meals to over 2,125 Nevadans every week. This program highlights the need for Congress to reauthorize the Older Americans Act (OAA) in the coming months. The OAA funds critical programs for America's senior citizens, including the Meals on Wheels program for Nevada.

Washington, DC - Today, Representative David Trone (D- MD) along with Reps. Don Bacon (R-NE), Barbara Lee (D-CA), and Susie Lee (D-NV), announced the introduction of the bipartisan Expanding Educational Opportunities for Justice-Impacted Communities Act. The new bill would repeal the ban on the receipt of Pell Grants by incarcerated individuals and the loss of federal financial aid eligibility for individuals convicted of certain drug offenses. The group will seek to pass the bill when Congress takes up the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act this fall.

Washington, DC - Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) voted to pass the Raise the Wage Act, landmark legislation to gradually increase the federal minimum wage to $15 over six years.According to independent economic analysis, the bill would increase pay for up to 33 million American workers, including over 125,000 workers in Nevada's third district.

Washington, DC - Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) introduced the Deter Obnoxious, Nefarious, and Outrageous Telephone Calls (DO NOT) Call Act in an effort to deter illegal robocalls that have skyrocketed in recent years. This legislation will improve enforcement and enhance penalties for violations made under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The FCC has put forward aggressive enforcement actions, but the deterrents are still not strong enough. In 2017 alone, 30.5 billion robocalls were initiated, up 19% from 2016.

WASHINGTON - Today, utilizing the new House "Consensus Calendar," the Problem Solvers Caucus praised the repeal of the excessive health care "Cadillac Tax" surcharge.

The bill received priority consideration on the House floor by having more than 290 bipartisan cosponsors – a key new house rule the Problem Solvers Caucus fought for early this Congress. The bill, H.R.748 -- Middle Class Health Benefits Tax Repeal Act of 2019, had 369 bipartisan co-sponsors.

Susie Lee (NV-03) and Denver Riggleman (VA-05) launched the bipartisan Veterans Education Caucus with a panel hearing of student veterans from Virginia and Las Vegas, as well as the Student Veterans of America, to highlight the experiences of student veterans and open a dialogue about the challenges they face. Washington D.C. - Today, Reps. Susie Lee (NV-03), Abby Finkenauer (IA-01), Frederica Wilson (FL-24), Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), and Rodney Davis (IL-13) introduced the bipartisan Protecting Access to Student Transcripts (PAST) Act to prevent higher education institutions from withholding transcripts from students who have defaulted on their student loans.
