Appropriations
As southern Nevada’s voice on the House Appropriations Committee, which is responsible for distributing federal funds across the nation, my top priority is returning these dollars to our community. In addition to annual appropriations bills, I have also been able to return nearly $4 billion to Nevada taxpayers through local grants and federal investments in Nevada’s infrastructure, law enforcement, transportation, mental health services, housing, public lands and more.
As a member of the subcommittees on Energy & Water as well as Military Construction & Veterans Affairs, I'm working to secure important investments for southern Nevada to support our veterans and military families, strengthen drought prevention efforts in the West, and continue to build a diverse, clean, and efficient energy economy that unleashes our state’s energy potential while lowering costs and protecting our public lands.
