WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced the introduction of bipartisan legislation to fund law enforcement, invest in officer safety and training, and help combat law enforcement staffing shortages. The Invest to Protect Act would provide funding to support specialized officer training, allocations for body cameras, grants for officer recruitment, and resources for officers pursuing education in social work and mental health.

LAS VEGAS – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-NV) announced that Nevada will receive nearly $4 million to help expand access to affordable housing through the nation’s Housing Trust Fund. Nevada will be able to use these funds to increase and preserve the supply of affordable rental housing, especially for low-income households.

A companion bill was introduced in the Senate by Senators Tim Scott (R-SC), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), and Maggie Hassan (D-NH).

LAS VEGAS – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-NV) and Congressman Pete Stauber (R-MN) introduced bipartisan, bicameral legislation to expand access to affordable child care options and support non-profit child care providers. The Small Business Child Care Investment Act would grant non-profit child care providers access to the same types of Small Business Administration (SBA) loans available to for-profit businesses.
