WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Reps. Susie Lee (NV-03) and Michelle Steel (CA-48) announced their introduction of the bipartisan Telehealth Expansion Act, which would permanently extend a CARES Act telehealth waiver to ensure that 35 million Americans continue to have affordable coverage of telehealth services. The CARES Act, a bipartisan bill signed into law in March 2020, allowed individuals with HSA-qualified high-deductible plans to access telehealth services before meeting their deductible.

WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Susie Lee released the following statement after she voted to pass the bipartisan infrastructure legislation, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Notably, the text of Rep. Lee’s bill, H.R. 4099, the Large-Scale Water Recycling Project Investment Act, is included in the legislation, which is expected to be signed into law.

WASHINGTON – Rep. Susie Lee joined fourteen of her colleagues in writing a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer urging immediate action to address the high cost of prescription drugs in the United States. Prescription drug reform was not included in the original framework of the Build Back Better Act released last week, but Rep. Lee is still fighting for its inclusion in the final legislative text, which is currently being negotiated.

Susie Lee (NV-03) joined twenty of her House Democratic colleagues in signing onto a letter urging Speaker Pelosi and Ways and Means Chairman Neal to remove the IRS reporting proposal that raises significant privacy and data security concerns. WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) has awarded the Nevada System of Higher Education $1,249,964 in Community Policing Development (CPD) funding to make the University Police Department, which serves Nevada’s state-funded university system, the National De-escalation Training Center in the western region. The City of North Las Vegas also received $162,900 in CPD funding.
