WASHINGTON Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03), alongside Congresswoman Katie Porter (CA-45), and Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05), relaunched the College Affordability Caucus. The group spearheads policies that will drive down the sticker price of higher education.

In relaunching the caucus, the three Congresswomen hosted a briefing with other members and Caitlin Zaloom, an expert on the financial challenges that students and families face trying to save for and afford college.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) voted to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act. This legislation would secure equal pay for men and women and work to close the gender wage gap by promoting pay transparency, strengthening equal pay protections, and combatting discriminatory pay practices.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) released the following statement after voting to pass the Workplace Violence Prevention for Health Care and Social Service Workers Act (H.R. 1195). The legislation would help to curb the rising rates of workplace violence faced by health care and social service employees, such as nurses, emergency responders, medical assistants, physicians, and social workers.

WASHINGTON -- Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-Nev.-03), Congressman Steven Horsford (D-Nev.-04), and Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) introduced the Electric Power Infrastructure Improvement Act, a bill to support more than 500,000 jobs, improve the resilience of the grid, and support new projects that connect modern renewable energy resources to the power demands of regional consumer markets. The bill would create an investment tax credit to help promote construction of regionally significant transmission projects across the nation.

LAS VEGAS – Today, Rep. Susie Lee announced that eight community health centers in Nevada will receive more than $25 million in American Rescue Plan funding to support COVID-19 vaccination and services for vulnerable populations. Among the Community Health Centers which will receive funding is First Person Care Clinic, which has a location in Henderson. The funding will be awarded beginning in April by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
