WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) will receive $652,983 in The Emergency Food Assistance Program’s (TEFAP) Reach and Resiliency grant funding. The grant, awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), will support the implementation of NDA’s project to identify communities underserved by the TEFAP program and obtain the resources necessary to receive and distribute more TEFAP foods, including through expansion of mobile and drive-through models of food distributions.

Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has awarded Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) $2 million in WaterSMART grant funding to expand its landscape rebate program, which incentivizes residential property owners to replace turf with water-efficient landscaping and is expected to result in annual water savings of 2,022 acre-feet.
