WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada a nearly $6 million grant for the Charleston Boulevard High-Capacity Transit Planning project. In February, Congresswoman Lee joined the Nevada delegation in sending a letter of support backing RTC’s application for this critical funding.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) led ten House colleagues in a letter to President Biden, urging him to swiftly nominate and work to confirm a permanent Administrator to lead the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). NHTSA is the central federal body responsible for reducing deaths, injuries, and economic losses due to motor vehicle crashes. The agency has not had a Senate-confirmed leader for longer than three months since 2017.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03), spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to congratulate the Las Vegas Golden Knights on last night’s historic Stanley Cup victory. Congresswoman Lee honored the Golden Knights as not just a sport team but a symbol of unity and resilience, tied to the community when their very first home game came just days after the tragic shooting that struck Las Vegas on October 1, 2017.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03), a member of the House Appropriations Committee and the Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies, slammed Republican efforts to cut funding for critical military construction and insert partisan changes to existing law, known as “riders,” that would restrict funding for veterans’ services.
