WASHINGTON– This week, Congresswoman Susie Lee (D-NV) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Dwight Evans (D-PA), Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and Mike Kelly (R-PA) introduced the bipartisan Fairness to Kids with Cancer Act. The bill would require the share of federal funds allocated to pediatric cancer research to equal the percentage of the U.S. population that is under the age of 18.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced nearly $10 million has been awarded to the Nevada Department of Education for projects that help children and youth with disabilities thrive and reach successful employment outcomes. This funding will support over 300,000 children with disabilities across Nevada with better options for career exploration, more work-based learning opportunities, and increased exposure to postsecondary opportunities.

During the summit, Congresswoman Lee announced that the Bureau of Reclamation has allocated $63 million in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding to 13 water infrastructure projects across Nevada.

LAS VEGAS – Yesterday, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) traveled to Creech Air Force Base (AFB) to meet with base leadership and Airmen, tour the base’s facilities, and discuss the challenges that Airmen regularly face. To address these challenges and empower Nevada Airmen and their families, Congresswoman Lee introduced the Creech Airmen Economic Security and Resilience Act this week. This legislation would require an investigation into reinstating Assignment Incentive Pay for Creech Airmen and an assessment of Creech-specific difficulties and options for improving quality of life for Creech personnel and families.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that up to $195 million in funding has been made available from the Department of the Interior to support drought resiliency projects, water management planning and design improvements, and cooperative watershed management projects. Congresswoman Lee fought to secure these funds by championing and voting to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act, as well as through her work as a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada will receive a $630,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA). RTC will use this funding to draft an Equitable Access to Mobility Action Plan that will help improve transportation in southern Nevada.
