WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that the U.S. Department of the Interior has committed more than $417 million for 47 projects across Nevada and the Lake Tahoe Basin to protect public lands and invest in expanded outdoor recreation opportunities from trail development at Red Rock Canyon to the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s conservation efforts at the Warm Springs Natural Area.

WASHINGTON – This week, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) joined Congressman Michael Guest (R-MS) and Congressman David Trone (D-MD) to introduce legislation to help put an end to fentanyl drug smuggling and modernize outdated guidelines for responding to illegal activity at the border. The bipartisan, bicameral Eradicating Narcotic Drugs and Formulating Effective New Tools to Address National Yearly Losses of Life (END FENTANYL) Act would empower law enforcement to find new ways to stop the flow of fentanyl by requiring Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to update its policies.

WASHINGTON – Today, an overwhelming bipartisan coalition voted to pass Congresswoman Lee’s (NV-03) amendment encouraging Congressional action to combat inflation and address high costs of living for American families. The amendment passed the House by a vote of 364-56, which secured its inclusion in H.R. 347, the Reduce Exacerbated Inflation Negatively Impacting the Nation Act that passed the House this morning.

LAS VEGAS – On Tuesday, February 14, U.S. Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) visited the Boulder City Veteran's Home to deliver valentines to southern Nevada veterans. This is the second annual Valentines for Veterans event hosted by Congresswoman Lee. This year, Congresswoman Lee was joined in delivering valentines by Las Vegas Golden Knights Mascot Chance, as well as servicemembers from Nellis Air Force Base. Local students and Boy Scout Troops helped to make the valentine cards delivered today.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that $3 million in funding from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act is coming to Nevada to combat gun violence and support mental health initiatives. Congresswoman Lee helped to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act last year, following a string of mass shootings, including the shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

This bipartisan, bicameral legislation targets the rise in organized retail crime gangs that are hurting retailers and threatening public safety.
