LAS VEGAS – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that NeighborWorks America, a congressionally chartered non-profit organization, has granted $450,000 in funding to local organization Nevada HAND, which provides affordable housing for Nevada seniors and working families. This grant funding will support efforts to develop and preserve affordable housing, revitalize and sustain neighborhoods, and create jobs.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) co-sponsored the Coronavirus Unemployment Benefits Tax Relief Act, introduced by Rep. Cindy Axne (Iowa-03), which would provide additional financial relief to Americans who have been unemployed during this unprecedented public health and economic crisis. Those affected would be able to temporarily exclude the first $10,200 of unemployment compensation from federal income taxes for tax year 2020.

LAS VEGAS – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has granted over $2 million in funding for FirstMed Health and Wellness Centers in southern Nevada. This grant will go toward FirstMed's Community Health Center (CHC) efforts on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic, treating and serving Nevadans largely from underserved and vulnerable communities.

This bill would expand access to high-quality, federally funded Registered Apprenticeships, youth apprenticeships, and pre-apprenticeships.
