WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that $680,262 in funding from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act is coming to southern Nevada to support mental health. This funding will come to our communities through Mental Health Awareness Training Grants, which provide funding to states, localities, Tribes, and nonprofits to train teachers, first responders, law enforcement officials, veterans, and others to help prevent mental and behavioral issues from escalating.

Susie Lee (NV-03) voted to pass a bipartisan package of 12 government funding bills, making smart investments in education, health care and mental health care, public safety, national security, veterans’ services, clean energy, western drought resiliency, and lowering the cost of living for all Nevadans.

Susie Lee (NV-03) announced that over $30 million in Community Project Funding has been included in this year’s government funding package, with a final House vote expected on Friday. As a member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, Rep. Lee fought for these 15 local projects and secured their inclusion in the 12 individual government funding bills that passed out of the Committee in June.

Susie Lee's proposal to add a Battleground Leadership Representative to Democratic Leadership passed out of the Democratic Caucus and was adopted into Democratic Caucus Rules for the 118th Congress.
