WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Lee’s amendment to the bipartisan Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation in America (INVEST) in America Act was adopted in a bipartisan vote of 220-200. Rep. Lee’s amendment would ensure that any wastewater infrastructure funded using the Clean Water State Revolving Fund or other Clean Water Act grant programs undergo a climate resiliency assessment.

WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Susie Lee, a member of the Appropriations Committee, voted to pass two funding bills out of the full committee that include multiple provisions pushed by Congresswoman Lee. The Military Construction and Veterans Affairs and the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies funding bills for fiscal year 2022 now head to the House floor for final passage. Rep. Lee secured the inclusion of key provisions, including more funding for mental health programs for veterans.

Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) has granted $1.67 million to the City of Las Vegas as part of a new, two-year initiative to identify and implement best practices for improving health literacy to enhance COVID-19 vaccination and other mitigation practices among underserved populations.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (Nev.-03) announced that the Department of Transportation (DOT) has granted nearly $40 million to the City of Henderson for its Reimagine Boulder Highway Project. The project will make one of Nevada’s most dangerous highways safer for all of its users by reducing existing traffic lanes, installing lighting along the entire roadway and creating buffered bike lanes.

Napolitano (CA-32), Raúl Grijalva (AZ-03), and Jared Huffman (CA-02) introduced H.R. 4099, the Large Scale Water Recycling Project Investment Act, to create a water recycling grant program for large-scale projects in California and the other sixteen western states.
